What they ask for
Required
- 5–8 years broadcast engineering, media workflows, or IP-based video experience
- Live video workflow support across on-site, cloud, and IP platforms
- Video codec and format knowledge (MPEG-TS, H.264/H.265, AAC)
- IP media transport protocol experience (RTP, RTMP, SRT, Zixi, RIST)
- Streaming protocol familiarity (HLS, MPEG-DASH)
- Media processing systems hands-on experience (FFmpeg, AWS Elemental, Harmonic, CommScope or equivalent)
- Cloud platform familiarity (AWS preferred)
- Linux systems and scripting proficiency (Python, Bash)
- Monitoring and observability tools experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Broadcast automation, playout, or master control systems experience
- SCTE standards and IP-based signaling workflow familiarity
- Containerized environment exposure (Docker, Kubernetes)
- IP media transport architecture understanding (multicast, timing)
- Fiber/IP contribution and real-time media transport system support
