What they ask for
Required
- 5+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience
- Hands-on data and/or AI/ML infrastructure work
- CS/Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
- Deep expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Working familiarity with multi-cloud environments and their data and AI services
- Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g., Terraform)
- CI/CD tooling experience (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)
- Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Bash)
- Security and networking fundamentals for cloud resources
- Track record operating production systems with monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability practices
- Ability to set technical direction at platform scale and mentor engineers
Nice to have
- Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or biotechnology
- Data and engineering practices in regulated industries (HIPAA, GxP)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOX) and data governance
- Experience working in matrixed environments
