Nice to have
- AA/AS degree in a technical field
- Facilities Maintenance certification
- Knowledge of building codes such as NEC, UBC, NFC, or UPC
- Knowledge of boilers, chillers, refrigeration, pumps, plumbing, electrical switchgear, generators, or gas systems
- Commercial or industrial building maintenance experience
- Analytical troubleshooting abilities in mechanical and electrical problems
- Willingness to work as apprentice to senior tradesman or millwright
- Welding, machining, carpentry, and plumbing skills
- General knowledge of power and hand tools
