- 5+ years building production web applications
- Deep TypeScript and React experience with Next.js or equivalent full-stack framework in production
- Shipped end-to-end user-facing features including UI, API, data model, and tests
- Strong design judgment for complex workflows and UI decisions
- Backend fundamentals: API design, Postgres, auth and permission modeling, cloud services
- Built data-heavy or media-heavy interfaces optimized for performance
- Worked directly with end users and incorporated their feedback into shipped features
- Attention to detail without sacrificing speed
- Curious and proactive mindset
Nice to have
- Media playback in the browser (HTML5 video/audio, HLS, containers and codecs)
- Experience building UX over embeddings or vector search
- Portfolio or shipped work demonstrating design taste
- Built or maintained a design system across multiple applications
- Familiarity with auth systems like Clerk and permission modeling
- Experience with sensitive or regulated data (HIPAA, PHI)
- Prior startup experience as founding or early engineer
