Required
- LOTO trained and familiar with deviation permit process
- Understand basic electrical concepts: voltage, current, resistance
- Operate volt-ohm-millimeters and non-contact voltage testers
- Understand electrical machine controls
- Know mechanical fastener types and installation
- Handle and apply lubricants correctly
- Understand hydraulic valve configuration and operation
- Understand pneumatic valve configuration and operation
- Weld, braze, solder, and cut metal
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Understand machine shop basics and safety
- Work safely in dangerous conditions including heights and confined spaces
- Transport and store oxygen and acetylene cylinders safely
- Inspect lifting hardware and assist with heavy lifting
- Adapt to various climates and working conditions
- Stand for 8 hours
- Occasionally lift 100 lbs

- Use lifting equipment including block and tackle, chain hoists, slings, levelers, come-alongs, jacks, and winches
