What they ask for
Required
- In-house tax experience at a hyperscaler, cloud provider, or large-scale datacenter operator
- Experience standing up and maintaining entity structures across multiple jurisdictions with contemporaneous documentation
- Working knowledge of cross-border withholding, permanent establishment analysis, and debt-versus-equity characterization
- Track record owning integrated tax position across a portfolio of deals from term sheet to post-close
- Ability to coordinate cross-functionally across Legal, Accounting, FP&A, and business teams without formal authority
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and building processes from scratch in fast-moving environments
Nice to have
- 12+ years of tax experience with significant datacenter and international exposure
- Big 4 or law firm experience in datacenter or infrastructure tax
- JD degree; LL.M. in Taxation or MST
- Hands-on transfer pricing experience for intercompany services or compute with benchmarking and documentation
- Experience with owner-operator transitions and construction-period tax issues
- Background in state and local incentives, economic development negotiation, or site selection tax
- Experience with non-US datacenter tax regimes and cross-border infrastructure structures
- Existing relationships with datacenter developers, tax counsel, or Big 4 infrastructure tax teams
