What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, or Master's degree and 6 years of experience, or Ph.D.
- Hands-on experience in legal operations, legal finance, or in-house legal billing with responsibility for outside counsel management and e-billing operations
- Expertise in law firm rate negotiation, Alternative Fee Arrangement structuring, and billing guideline enforcement
- Ability to partner across Legal, Finance, Procurement, and IT functions
Nice to have
- Minimum 7 years of progressive, hands-on legal operations experience in a large, complex organization
- Proficiency with enterprise e-billing platforms such as TeamConnect or equivalent
- Experience with rate benchmarking tools and market data sources
- Experience in a global pharmaceutical, biotech, or similarly complex regulated industry
- Familiarity with CLOC or other Legal Operations competency frameworks
- Experience managing outside counsel programs including law firm panels and Outside Counsel Guidelines review
