What they ask for
Required
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field
- 5–10 years of experience in transducers, ultrasonics, or precision electromechanical systems
- Multi-physics modeling experience (COMSOL, OnScale, or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience installing and testing PZT-based transducers
- SolidWorks proficiency
- Experience moving designs from concept through production
- Understanding of acoustic wave propagation, mechanical dynamics, and vibration
- Understanding of bonding, packaging, and assembly methods
- Cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and product teams
Nice to have
- Experience with flow measurement systems or industrial instrumentation
- Familiarity with hazardous area design standards (ATEX, IECEx)
- Design experience for harsh environments
- Knowledge of acoustic coupling in pipe-mounted or clamp-on systems
- System-level performance optimization background
- Experience working with external piezo suppliers
- Prior technical lead or ownership experience
