What they ask for
Required
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident working from U.S. soil
- 10+ years in software, site reliability, or platform engineering with large-scale distributed systems experience
- Proficiency in at least one systems language (Go, Java, Rust, C++)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash)
- End-to-end observability experience including monitoring pipelines and SLI/SLO definition
- Demonstrated incident diagnosis and resolution across multiple distributed components
- Capacity planning and scaling experience for large infrastructure
- Kafka or similar streaming platform experience
- Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline familiarity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience utilizing AI to enhance decision-making and workflows
Nice to have
- Experience at hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) or large SaaS providers
- Track record building automated remediation and self-healing infrastructure
- Cost modeling experience for large compute and storage
- Cloud-native and serverless architecture familiarity
- Operating experience with platforms processing 1+ trillion events per day or 10+ PB daily
- Log management or security operations background
- Disaster recovery planning for multi-region systems
