  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and automotive repair knowledge
  • Experience with vehicle systems and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDL Class A with Passenger and Tanker endorsements
  • Physically capable of demanding mechanical work
  • Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
  • Fundamental knowledge of vehicle data acquisition systems
  • Understanding of low-voltage electrical systems and wiring
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and computer-based diagnostic tools
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Nice to have

  • Current CDL Class A with Passenger and Tanker endorsements
  • Experience testing medium- or heavy-duty commercial vehicles
  • Experience with prototype vehicle builds
  • Experience with vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition systems
  • Knowledge of emissions, powertrain, durability, or performance testing
  • Fabrication and welding experience
  • Experience with axle, driveline, suspension, and braking systems
