What they ask for

Required

  • Active CPA license
  • Big 4 or national firm background
  • 8+ years technical accounting or financial reporting experience
  • Deep US GAAP knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity compensation (ASC 718), leases (ASC 842), and business combinations (ASC 805)
  • Experience preparing GAAP financial statements and footnotes from scratch
  • Experience managing external auditors and accounting consultants
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shipping without playbooks
  • Daily use of LLMs for drafting, research, and analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to write small scripts or automations in Python or SQL
  • High integrity and ownership, low ego

Nice to have

  • Prior experience preparing a company for its first external audit
  • Prior experience taking a company public or through IPO
  • Capitalized software accounting in SaaS or AI
  • Experience with valuation specialists on 409As, PPAs, or intangible asset valuations
  • International transfer pricing or intercompany accounting exposure
  • Working knowledge of Workiva, NetSuite, FloQast, or similar tools
