What this role is
You'll establish and operate Anthropic's fraud and scams enforcement program from the ground up, designing policies, building detection systems, and managing a contractor team to protect the platform from payment fraud, account abuse, and organized scams. This role suits someone with deep fintech fraud experience who can own a complex, evolving problem space independently while collaborating across payments, legal, and technical teams.

Required
- Deep payment fraud experience at fintech, marketplace, or platform
- Experience building or scaling a fraud program from early stage
- Working knowledge of payment-network and dispute mechanics
- Ability to own a problem space independently with ruthless prioritization
- Proficiency with SQL or similar tools to quantify fraud losses and control efficacy
- Strong written communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with payment service providers and card networks on fraud strategy
- Knowledge of scam typologies beyond payments (social engineering, impersonation, platform-mediated scams)
- Vendor relationship management experience in fraud/risk detection
- Deep interest in AI safety and responsible technology
- Experience writing prompts for generative AI in content review or enforcement contexts
