This role develops and manages environmental testing processes for satellite components and subsystems, ensuring spacecraft hardware meets space-grade reliability standards. What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Experience with thermal chambers, TVAC chambers, and/or vibration shakers
- Experience authoring test procedures and implementing process improvements
- Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- U.S. Person as defined by export control regulations
Nice to have
- 5+ years of environmental testing experience focusing on vibration, thermal ambient, and thermal vacuum testing
- Familiarity with SMC-S-016, GSFC-STD-7000A, or similar environmental testing standards
- Experience in high-throughput manufacturing environments
- Experience with PXI and test instrumentation
- Experience qualifying new products for space applications
- Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies (Five Whys, Fishbone Analysis, 8D)
- Experience managing UUT non-conformances
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
