What they ask for
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong computer skills with minimum 45 wpm typing
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Manual dexterity with ophthalmic equipment
- Knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, and ocular medications
- Patient confidentiality
- Ability to work up three patients per hour
Nice to have
- JCAHPO Ophthalmic Assistant Certification or COT
- Experience in service-oriented industry
- Bilingual language skills (depending on location)
- Basic knowledge of contact lenses
