  • PhD in Economics, Applied Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
  • 8+ years of professional experience in relevant role
  • Microeconomic theory and applied econometrics foundation
  • Experience applying econometric methods to business problems in tech, e-commerce, or marketplaces
  • Deep expertise in causal inference toolkit including IV, DiD, RDD, synthetic controls, and panel methods
  • Python or R proficiency with strong SQL skills for large-scale data work
  • Track record of influencing product strategy through quantitative analysis
  • Exceptional communication skills for explaining econometric work to non-technical executives
  • Ability to work in fast-paced business environment

Nice to have

  • Publications or working papers in applied economics or quantitative methods
  • Experience with marketplace or platform economics, two-sided markets, network effects, or dynamic pricing
  • Experience integrating causal models into ML pipelines or production systems
  • Familiarity with modern AI/ML workflows and LLM-assisted analysis tools
  • Background in travel, e-commerce, or large-scale consumer marketplaces
