Required
- 8+ years of professional Android engineering
- Ownership of complex consumer applications
- Deep Kotlin knowledge and strong Jetpack Compose expertise
- Led architecture work in large or modular Android codebase
- Shipped and supported applications through Google Play
- Understanding of performance, offline state, background execution, media playback, permissions, and device fragmentation
- Strong testing habits across unit, integration, UI, and end-to-end layers
- Ability to debug across UI, networking, persistence, services, devices, and CI
- Led complex projects from planning through launch with product and design partners
- Operated at lead scope
- Experience using AI coding tools in development workflow
Nice to have
- Experience building Wear OS applications or working with Wearable Data Layer
- Experience with Health Connect, health sensors, or Bluetooth devices
- Familiarity with HIPAA and health product regulations
- Experience with Media3, CameraX, foreground services, or real-time audio and video
- Experience designing offline-capable applications with Room, WorkManager, and background synchronization
- Background in fitness, health, coaching, or personalized consumer products
- Experience evolving a design system across a large Compose application
