What they ask for

Required

  • Associate's degree in Natural Science, Materials, or related field
  • 10+ years hands-on aerospace high temperature materials processing and testing
  • Experience with lamination, honeycomb core assembly, bagging, de-tooling, resin infusion
  • Experience with filament winding, PIP, CVD, surface preparation
  • Experience with thermal protection systems, heat shields, TPS tiles, ablative materials, CMC, cork bonding, silicone adhesives
  • Composite panel layup fabrication and surface preparation
  • Advanced heatshield composite processing and machining
  • Subject matter expertise in high temperature composites troubleshooting
  • Ability to mentor and train team members
  • Knowledge of lab operations support

Nice to have

  • Operating thermal, mechanical, and chemical testing instruments (DSC, LFA, TGA, Dilatometer, Instron)
  • CAD and software skills
