Required
- Minimum 5 years editing and reporting breaking news at a leading digital-first media outlet
- Deep knowledge of US politics with background in editing or reporting national politics or major campaigns
- Sharp news judgment with ability to frame complex stories for a morning US audience
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Willingness to work weekends
- Perfect grasp of written and spoken English
