What they ask for

Required

  • 12+ years building and operating large-scale distributed cloud infrastructure
  • System programming in C, C++, Go, or Rust
  • Deep knowledge of distributed state and data protection at petabyte scale
  • Troubleshooting and performance tuning across the full IO path
  • Professional software engineering practices across the full development lifecycle
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and design reviews across the organization

Nice to have

  • Public cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and MLOps
  • Experience with high-throughput I/O architectures like DAOS or SPDK
  • Background in RDMA and high-performance networking (SmartNICs, RoCEv2)
  • Experience with highly available systems (Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka)
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals (CAP Theorem, Paxos/RAFT, consistent hashing, sharding)
  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Track record of open-source contributions (Ceph, GlusterFS, Lustre, Spectrum Scale, OpenEBS)
