What they ask for
Required
- 12+ years building and operating large-scale distributed cloud infrastructure
- System programming in C, C++, Go, or Rust
- Deep knowledge of distributed state and data protection at petabyte scale
- Troubleshooting and performance tuning across the full IO path
- Professional software engineering practices across the full development lifecycle
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and design reviews across the organization
Nice to have
- Public cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and MLOps
- Experience with high-throughput I/O architectures like DAOS or SPDK
- Background in RDMA and high-performance networking (SmartNICs, RoCEv2)
- Experience with highly available systems (Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka)
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals (CAP Theorem, Paxos/RAFT, consistent hashing, sharding)
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Track record of open-source contributions (Ceph, GlusterFS, Lustre, Spectrum Scale, OpenEBS)
