What they ask for
Required
- 7+ years broadcast transmission or live production experience
- Knowledge of video transport protocols (MPEG-TS, SRT, RIST, RTP/UDP)
- Experience with IP-based broadcast systems including SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS
- Familiarity with satellite and fiber-based contribution services
- Hands-on network infrastructure experience (routers, switches, firewalls) in high-bandwidth environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex signal paths under time pressure
- Understanding of redundancy models, QoS, and network reliability
Nice to have
- Experience supporting Tier 1 live sports broadcasts (NFL, MLB, FIFA, etc.)
- Cloud-based media workflow knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Remote production and distributed control room experience
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash)
- Industry certifications (CCNP, CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
