What they ask for
Required
- Master's degree (MBA, MS in Engineering, MPA, or equivalent)
- 10+ years in strategy, operations, or consulting
- 2+ years as Chief of Staff, Director of Strategy, or equivalent supporting C-suite or General/Flag Officer
- Direct experience in defense, national security, or space industries with government contracting knowledge
- Demonstrated experience building organizational capability in high-growth environments
- Public speaking or external company representation experience
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status (ITAR compliance)
Nice to have
- Technical undergraduate or graduate degree (engineering, computer science, physics)
- Background in management consulting or investment banking with defense/A&D focus
- Experience in energetics, space systems, hypersonics, or related defense technology domains
- Prior experience leading M&A due diligence or post-acquisition integration
- Experience engaging with M&A targets or corporate development
