What they ask for

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, operations management, business administration, project management or related field
Minimum 7 years progressively responsible experience in utility generation, industrial maintenance, power plant operations, maintenance planning, scheduling, project coordination or related work
Minimum 3 years leadership, supervisory or management experience
Strong knowledge of power generating facilities and related equipment operation, maintenance, design and construction
Ability to lead maintenance planning, scheduling and work management in complex industrial or utility environments
Strong leadership skills including expectation-setting, employee coaching, conflict resolution and accountability
Knowledge of project management methodologies, process improvement techniques and maintenance best practices
Ability to evaluate equipment histories, work order data and failure trends to identify improvements
Understanding of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, outage planning and backlog management
Ability to manage multiple priorities under time-sensitive conditions
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, standards and safe work practices for power generation maintenance
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software and EAM or CMMS platforms
Ability to develop, monitor and manage budgets and work plans
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
On-call 24/7 availability with ability to respond in reasonable timeframe

Nice to have

Experience with outage planning, maintenance work management, contractor coordination and budget development
Experience with Enterprise Asset Management or Computerized Maintenance Management systems
Experience in electric cooperative industry or utility generation environment
