VisuAlg (also styled VisualG) is a free educational programming environment popular in Brazilian and Portuguese-language computer science instruction, used to write and execute pseudocode in Portuguese syntax. It is designed to help beginning programming students learn algorithmic logic and structured programming concepts—such as loops, conditionals, and variables—before transitioning to a full programming language. Educators use it in introductory courses because its simplified, natural-language-like syntax lowers the barrier to understanding programming fundamentals.
