Transact-SQL (T-SQL) is Microsoft's proprietary extension of SQL used with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database. It adds procedural programming features such as variables, control-of-flow statements, stored procedures, and error handling on top of standard SQL. Database administrators and developers use it to write queries, manage data, and build business logic within SQL Server environments.
