Semantic UI is an open-source front-end CSS framework that provides pre-built themeable components (buttons, forms, menus, modals) using human-friendly HTML class names intended to read like natural language. It was popular among web developers in the mid-2010s as an alternative to Bootstrap, and its community-maintained fork, Fomantic-UI, continues its development. It is used to quickly build responsive, consistent-looking web interfaces without writing extensive custom CSS.
