RxJS is a JavaScript/TypeScript library implementing the Reactive Extensions pattern, providing Observables to manage asynchronous data streams such as user input, HTTP requests, and WebSocket events. It is heavily used within the Angular framework for handling asynchronous operations and state management, and offers a large set of operators (map, filter, merge, switchMap, etc.) for composing complex event-driven logic. Frontend developers use it to write more declarative, composable code compared to callback- or promise-based approaches.
