Projection mapping (also called video mapping) is a technique that uses projectors to display light and video onto irregularly shaped surfaces or objects—such as building facades, sculptures, or stage sets—so the projected imagery appears to interact with and transform the physical surface. It is popular among visual artists, event designers, and marketers for concerts, festivals, architectural light shows, and branded experiences.
