# NSX-T Network Virtualization

NSX-T is VMware's network virtualization and security platform that lets IT administrators create, manage, and secure virtual networks (switching, routing, firewalling, load balancing) independent of the underlying physical hardware. It's used in data centers and cloud environments to support multi-hypervisor and container/Kubernetes workloads. Network engineers and cloud infrastructure teams use it to enable software-defined networking and micro-segmentation for security.
