MetaQuotes Language is the programming language (MQL4/MQL5) used to write automated trading strategies, custom indicators, and scripts on the MetaTrader trading platforms. Forex and algorithmic traders use it to build expert advisors that execute trades automatically based on technical signals. MQL can also stand for Marketing Qualified Lead, a sales/marketing term for a prospect deemed likely to become a customer based on engagement signals.
