HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), formerly known as QuickTest Professional (QTP), is an automated software testing tool originally developed by Mercury Interactive and later owned by HP (now Micro Focus). It uses a scripting language based on VBScript to record and script automated regression and functional tests for desktop, web, and enterprise applications. QA engineers and test automation specialists use it to reduce manual testing effort across repetitive test cases.
