HEC-RAS (Hydrologic Engineering Center's River Analysis System) is free software developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for modeling the hydraulics of water flow through natural rivers and other channels. It is used by civil and environmental engineers, hydrologists, and floodplain managers to simulate flood events, design bridges and levees, and produce flood risk maps.
