Good Clinical Practice is an international ethical and scientific quality standard (issued by the ICH) for designing, conducting, recording, and reporting clinical trials involving human subjects. It ensures the rights, safety, and well-being of trial participants are protected and that the resulting data are credible. Clinical research associates, investigators, and regulatory affairs professionals must be certified in GCP to work on pharmaceutical or medical device trials.
