Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), often called 'tapping,' is an alternative therapy that combines elements of cognitive therapy with physical tapping on specific acupressure points on the body, typically on the face, hands, and torso. Practitioners use it to address anxiety, stress, trauma, and other emotional or physical complaints, often while verbalizing affirmations about the issue being addressed. Though popular in wellness and self-help communities, its scientific evidence base is limited compared to established psychological treatments.
