Adobe Edge Animate was a web animation authoring tool, discontinued by Adobe in 2015, that let designers create interactive HTML5 animations and motion graphics using a timeline-based interface similar to Flash. It generated JavaScript, HTML, and CSS output so animations could run in modern browsers without Flash plugins. Web designers used it to build animated banner ads, interactive infographics, and website motion effects before Adobe shifted focus to other animation tools.
