Detectron2 is an open-source object detection and segmentation library built by Facebook AI Research (FAIR) on top of PyTorch, succeeding the original Detectron framework. It provides implementations of state-of-the-art computer vision models like Mask R-CNN, Faster R-CNN, and RetinaNet, used by researchers and engineers for tasks such as instance segmentation, keypoint detection, and panoptic segmentation.
