Corona SDK, now known as Solar2D, is a free, open-source framework for building cross-platform 2D mobile games and apps using the Lua programming language. It allows developers to write code once and deploy to iOS, Android, and other platforms, and is popular among indie game developers for its fast prototyping and simple API. The project became community-maintained and open source after Corona Labs shut down in 2020.
