# Continuous Delivery

Continuous delivery is a software engineering practice in which code changes are automatically built, tested, and prepared for release to production, keeping the codebase always in a deployable state. It differs from continuous deployment in that a human still approves the final push to production, and it's a core part of modern DevOps pipelines used by software engineers and release managers.
