Cisco Firepower is a family of next-generation firewall (NGFW) and intrusion prevention appliances that provide advanced threat detection, application visibility, and URL filtering alongside traditional firewall functions. Network security teams use it to protect enterprise networks from malware and intrusions with deep packet inspection. It is managed through the Firepower Management Center (FMC) and represents Cisco's modern successor to the ASA line.
