AWS Global Accelerator is a networking service that improves the availability and performance of applications by routing user traffic through AWS's global network of edge locations to the optimal endpoint. It uses static anycast IP addresses and can quickly reroute traffic away from unhealthy endpoints or impaired regions. Companies with globally distributed users use it to reduce latency and improve failover for internet-facing applications.
