ARCore is Google's software development platform for building augmented reality experiences on Android devices, enabling apps to track motion, understand surfaces, and estimate lighting so virtual objects can be placed realistically in the real world. It's used by mobile app developers to create AR features for gaming, retail try-on experiences, navigation, and education. ARCore competes with Apple's ARKit as one of the two dominant mobile AR frameworks.
