# Texas Posts 538 New Roles This Week, Down 34 as Every-State Count Climbs 7%

Texas opened 538 new roles this week, down 34 from 572 the week before, on the employer career sites Career App tracks. Across every state, new roles rose to 8,569 from 8,007, up 562, or 7%. Texas ranked second by new roles this week, behind California.

[Texas](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/texas) posted 538 new roles this week against 572 the week before, down 5.9%. [California](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/california) led with 665, up 29 from 636. Texas accounts for 6.3% of the 8,569 new roles counted across every state this week.

## How does Texas compare with the other states posting the most?

Seven of the 12 states below posted more new roles than the week before, and five posted fewer. [Tennessee](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/tennessee) added the most, 96, rising to 259 from 163. [Florida](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/florida) fell 94, to 385 from 479. Texas had the third largest decline among the 12 states, 34.
