# Ohio Added 266 New Roles This Week, Up From 155 — But Slower Than the National Board | Career App Daily

[Ohio](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/ohio) picked up **266 new job postings this week** across the employer boards we track, against 155 the week before — a rise of about 72%. That is a real jump, and it is also, oddly, a slightly below-average week: the national new-posting count across every board we crawl went from 6,335 to 11,234, up roughly 77%.

So Ohio grew, but the rest of the board grew a hair faster. Ohio's share of all new postings slipped from 2.4% to 2.4% — 155 of 6,335 last week, 266 of 11,234 this week. Practically flat.

By growth rate rather than volume, Ohio's +72% lands 9th of the 12. Tennessee (70 to 314) and [Arizona](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/arizona) (57 to 188) more than tripled and quadrupled their prior-week counts respectively, and [Florida](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/florida), Illinois and [Massachusetts](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/massachusetts) all more than doubled. Ohio's move is closer to [Pennsylvania](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/pennsylvania) (+72%) and [Texas](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/texas) (+75%) — solid, unspectacular.

## What we can and can't say about who is hiring

Here is the honest limit of this packet: our top-employer and top-occupation tables for the week are national, not state-broken. We can tell you [Cleveland Clinic](https://career.thegoodapps.co/organizations/cleveland-clinic) posted 319 new roles this week against 903 open in total — second only to [AdventHealth](https://career.thegoodapps.co/organizations/adventhealth) at 416 new and 964 open — and that [Meijer](https://career.thegoodapps.co/organizations/meijer) added 269 new roles on 662 open. Both are names with obvious Ohio footprints. What we cannot do is claim their postings landed in Ohio, because the packet does not attribute employer postings to states. Treat it as context, not causation.

Our occupation breakdown for the week came back empty, so there is no defensible ranking of which job titles drove Ohio's 266. We would rather say that than guess.

## The wider picture behind the number

One thing to keep in mind when reading any single state's gain: postings closed faster than they opened this week board-wide. 11,234 roles went up in the last 7 days; 22,668 came down. Total open listings stand at 57,024 across 691 employers hiring. A rising new-posting count is not the same as a growing pool.

Remote roles made up 3% of new postings this week, board-wide. If you are searching Ohio, assume on-site.

On pay, our posted-salary medians — employer-posted ranges annualized to USD, hourly converted at 2,080 hours — are national pools, not Ohio ones.
