# New Roles Climb 29% to 9,515 This Week, With 873 in California

New roles rose to 9,515 this week from 7,400 the week before, up 2,115, or 29%, on the employer career sites Career App tracks. Across the same week, 12,385 roles opened and 11,667 closed, a net addition of 718. The job search holds 78,402 open listings from 1,059 employers.

## How does this week compare with the past month?

New roles over the last 30 days total 36,689, against 39,889 in the 30 days before that, down 3,200, or 8%. The weekly count rose over the same stretch: 9,515 against 7,400. Remote work was named on 3% of new roles.

## Which states added the most new roles this week?

California led with 873 new roles, up from 575 a week earlier.
