# New Postings Fell 13% Over the Last 30 Days, to 35,477 Roles

New roles over the last 30 days came to 35,477 on the employer career sites Career App tracks, against 40,835 in the 30 days before. That is 5,358 fewer, or 13.1%. The decline shows up again in the most recent week, and in posted pay for two management occupations.

## How does the last 30 days compare with the 30 before?

New roles fell from 40,835 to 35,477, down 13.1%. The most recent week ran below that pace: 6,931 new roles, against 8,895 the week before, down 1,964, or 22.1%. Open listings stand at 74,908 across 1,048 employers hiring, with 9,863 roles added and 7,772 closed in the last week. Remote work accounts for 5% of new roles.

## Which states posted the most new roles this week?

[Texas](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/texas) followed with 512, then [New York](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/new-york) with 411 and [Florida](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/florida) with 371. New York gave up 175 roles week to week, the second-largest decline after California's 227.

Indiana added 55 new roles week to week, 172 against 117, a 47% increase. Wisconsin added 43, 170 against 127, up 33.9%. North Carolina added 3, and Massachusetts held at 207 both weeks. The nine other states in the table above posted fewer new roles than the week before.
