Illinois opened 210 new roles this week, up 29 from 181 the week before, on the employer career sites Career App tracks. That rise of 16% came in a week when [new roles across every state fell 22%](https://career.thegoodapps.co/trends), from 9,533 to 7,430. [Jobs in Illinois](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/illinois) tied Michigan for seventh by new roles this week.

## How does Illinois compare with other states this week?

Illinois added 29 new roles week over week, the third largest increase among the 12 states below. [Wisconsin](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/wisconsin) added 45, from 125 to 170, and [Michigan](https://career.thegoodapps.co/jobs/in/michigan) added 36, from 174 to 210.
