## What We Do

UT-Battelle, LLC is a nonprofit limited liability company formed jointly by the University of Tennessee and Battelle Memorial Institute to manage and operate Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) for the U.S. Department of Energy. It has held the management contract for ORNL, a major federally funded multiprogram science and energy research laboratory, since 2000.
