## What We Do

The Register-Guard is a daily newspaper serving Eugene, Springfield, and the surrounding Oregon region, formed through a 1930 merger of two earlier Eugene papers (with roots dating to 1867). It was sold to GateHouse Media in 2018, which merged with Gannett in 2019, and has since seen significant reductions in local newsroom staff.
