## What We Do

The Texas and Northern Railway is a short-line freight railroad built in 1948 to serve an integrated steel mill in Lone Star, Texas, historically hauling pipe, scrap steel, and alloy ingots. Long owned by U.S. Steel and operated through its Transtar division, it has been part of Transtar, LLC under FTAI Infrastructure Inc. since U.S. Steel sold the rail unit in 2021.
