Tecumseh Products Company is a manufacturer of hermetic compressors for air conditioning and refrigeration applications, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Originally founded in 1931 (as Hillsdale Machine and Tool Company) and once also a major maker of small gasoline engines, it sold its engine business in 2007 and its remaining refrigeration/compressor business was acquired by an affiliate of Mueller Industries and Atlas Holdings in 2015.
