Sun Records is an American record label founded in 1952 by Sam Phillips in Memphis, Tennessee, renowned for launching the careers of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and other pioneers of rock and roll and rockabilly. Now operating primarily as a reissue and licensing label under Sun Entertainment Corporation, it was acquired by Primary Wave in 2021.
